We can represent a 3D LUT like a cube. It is a file that contains all the information about colors, saturation, contrast, luminance and hue. We made different LUTs with variations of tons between all of those factors. The LUT is saved as a.Cube file extension and it can be applied on your footage. Example: the LUT named « F-9490-STD.cube » is a LUT with Film render for Standard image profile. And the LUT named « X-9360-LOG.cube » is a LUT with Creative render for LOG image profile. If a LUT is too much contrasted for your footage, apply a utility LUT (9998 or 9999) under other color grading settings (so at first layer over your image). LUT Buddy can be downloaded here for Mac or here for Windows. LUT Buddy was a free product that was discontinued as of Magic Bullet Suite 13's release, and does not require a serial number in orde. Cineform’s First Light has been out for a while now and Red Giant’s LUT Buddy was just released. Technicolor also released their CineStyle profile for Canon DSLRs and their documentation talks about using the included Look Up Table (LUT) in the post processing of your footage.
